# Installing PHP

PHP is a common general-purpose open source programming language. PHP is specially designed for web development and its code can be embedded directly into HTML.

## Adding necessary libraries

Use the command

sudo apt-get -y install ca-certificates apt-transport-https
```

## Installation php:

You need to use the following two commands:

wget -q https://packages.sury.org/php/apt.gpg -O- | apt-key add -
echo "deb https://packages.sury.org/php/ stretch main" | tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/php.list
```

Next, install **php** and its main modules:

```
sudo apt-get -y install php7.4 php7.4-{mcrypt,mysql,fpm}
```
